Under 19 Girls Cricket Devapathiraja MMV record mammoth 557-run win

Devapathiraja MMV Rathgama recorded a mammoth 557 run win against St. Anthony’s College Panadura in the Girls Under 19 limited over tournament encounter played at Baddegama.   
Devapathiraja MMV taking first lease of the wicket made a massive score of 578 for 5 which came on the back of two tons made by Imesha Dulani and Kavya Kavindi and half tons by Vihara Sewwandi and Sumudu Nisansala, both were unfortunate to miss out making tons.   


Dulani associated in two valuable partnerships that of 85 runs for the opening wicket with Rashmi Nethranjali, 173 runs for the second wicket with Kavindi who made 116 while Nisansala shared two partnerships of 137 runs for the fourth wicket with Vihara Sewwandi and 115 runs for the fifth wicket with Hiruni Hansika. St. Anthony’s girls in their run chase were bundled out for a paltry 21 runs.   


Vishmi Gunaratne made a 89 ball knock of 197 with 29 boundaries and eight sixes and shared a massive 323 runs stand for the second wicket with Sandali Weerasinghe to help Rathnavali BV Gampaha record a big 332 run win over Newstead Girls College Negombo in another match played at Sandalankawa.   
In the other matches that were played St. Joseph’s BV Kegalle and Nugawela Central winning their matches against Kegalu BV and Leliambe MV.
