Under 19 Girls’ Cricket Nethmini slams unbeaten double ton in Wadduwa MMV’s big win

Navodya Nethmini slammed an unbeaten double ton to guide Wadduwa MMV to a massive 310-run win over St. Anthony’s Girls School Panadura in their Under-19 Girls’ inter-school cricket tournament encounter played at Wadduwa.


Nethmini slammed 201 in just 96 balls inclusive of 31 boundaries and three sixes and was associated in three valuable partnerships -- first of 69 runs for the second wicket with Rashi Nadeeshika followed by 104 runs for the fourth wicket with Savindi Nimalsha and an unbroken 78 runs for the fifth with Emiksha Bhashani -- to help Wadduwa MMV, taking the first lease of the wicket, to a mammoth score of 347/4. 


St. Anthony’s, in their turn, were bundled out for a paltry 37 runs, with Nimalsha, Nethmi Poorna, and Nethmini doing the damage.


In the other matches played, Sri Siddartha MMV Eppawala, Meegoda MV, Jayasiripura KV, and St. Anthony’s Girls School Kandy won their matches with ease.
