Under 19 Limited Over Final St. Peter’s emerge champions

St. Peter’s College recorded a three wicket win over Thurstan College in the final of the Under 19 Tier ‘B’ Division One inter- schools limited over tournament played at the Police Park yesterday.   The match got off to a late start due to a wet outfield and was curtailed to 26 overs. Thurstan taking first lease of the wicket made a score of 131 runs with skipper Bawantha Jayasinghe making a top knock of 53.  St. Peter’s in their run chase was guided by useful knocks from Lahiru Dawatage and Danal Hemananda.
