Richmond College Galle along with Maris Stella Negombo and Isipathana College came out on top in the quarter-final encounters of the Under 19 Division One limited over cricket tournament. Richmond overcame St. Anthony’s College Katugastota by 37 runs (Duckworth/Lewis) in the Tier ‘A’ segment match played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona while Maris Stella and Isipathana got the better of Moratu MV by 107 runs played at DSS ground in Wijerama Mawatha and Isipathana defeated St. Sylvester’s by 46 runs at Darley Road in the Tier ‘B’ segment.
Meanwhile in the Division Two matches of the same tournament Tissa Central recorded a win by five wickets (Duckworth/Lewis) against arch rivals Kalutara MV in the Tier ‘A’ segment and Taxila Central beat Christ King College Ja-ela by 70 runs in the Tier ‘B’ segment while the match between St. Mary’s Kegalle and President’s College at Kandy ended in a no result.
