Under 19 Limited Over cricket 32 teams from Two Divisions qualify to quarter-finals

The completion of the preliminary  round matches of the Under 19 limited over cricket tournament saw 32 teams  from Division One and Two segments qualifying to the  quarter-finals. 

In the Division One Tier A  defending champions St. Joseph’s College Colombo, Nalanda College Colombo and  Mahanama College Colombo ended the preliminary round matches on an unbeaten  record along with St. Anthony’s Katugastota, St. Benedict’s, Richmond, Wesley  and De Mazenod Kandana advancing to the quarters. 
In the Division One Tier B segment St.  Peter’s College Bambalapitiya was the only unbeaten side together with Maris  Stella Negombo, Mahinda College Galle, Isipathana College, Moratu MV,  Lumbini MV, Thurstan College and St. Sylvester’s College making it to the  quarter-finals. 

The teams to qualify in the Division  Two category was headed by Lyceum IS Wattala who maintained an unbeaten record,  joined by Sri Sumangala College Panadura, Vidyartha College Kandy, Tissa  Central Kalutara, St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya, Sri Devananda MV  Ambalangoda, Kalutara MV and St. John’s College Jaffna to the quarter-finals  from Tier A while in the Tier B Sri Jayawardenapura MV Kotte, St. Mary’s  College Kegalle, Bandaranayake College Gampaha, Taxila Central Horana,  President’s College Kotte,Royal College Panadura, P. de S. Kularatne  MV Ambalangoda and Christ King College Ja-ela qualifyed to the quarters.

Tier A - St. Joseph’s vs.  Wesley, Nalanda vs. De Mazenod, St. Anthony’s College Kandy vs. Richmond,  Mahanama vs. St.Benedict’s 
Tier B - St. Peter’s vs.  Mahinda, Isipathana vs. St. Sylvester’s, Maris Stella vs. Moratu MV,  Thurstan vs. Lumbini MV. 
Division Two:
