Under 19 Provincial Youth League Hasith, Thisara steers Puttalam to third successive win

Puttalam coasted to their third successive win of the ongoing Under 19 Provincial Youth League limited over tournament when they crushed Kurunegala Zone by nine wickets in the match played at the Welagedera Stadium.  

The architects of the win were openers Hasith Kavinda, making 54, and Thisara Madushan, scoring 51, who together put on 108 runs, helping Puttalam race to the target of 109 runs in the 28th over.  

Half tons by Ramiru Perera and Dumindu Sewmina paved the way for Colombo South Zone 1 to record a massive 100-run win over Kalutara Zone 1 in the Under 19 Provincial Youth League limited over tournament encounter played at DSS ground in Wijerama Mawatha.  

A 117-ball knock of 116 inclusive of 20 boundaries by Kavindu Umesh enabled Polonnaruwa to record a close 15 runs win over Kilinochchi in another match played at Polonnaruwa while Gampaha Zone 1 and Anuradhapura came out victorious against Gampaha Zone 3 and Vavuniya in the matches played at Katunayake and Anuradhapura.
