Under-19 Provincial Youth League Muditha, Eranga, Ashan give Colombo North Zone 1 winning start

Half-tons by Muditha Dissanayake, Eranga Jayakody, and Ashan Isuru helped Colombo North Zone 1 record a massive 100-run win over Gampaha Zone 3 in their encounter played at Campbell Place to give them a winning start in the ongoing Under-19 Provincial Youth League cricket tournament.

The trio’s knocks helped Colombo North Zone 1, taking first lease of the wicket, make a formidable score of 287/9, and Gampaha Zone 3 in their run chase was on 178/8 when bad light put a stoppage to proceedings, which ensured a 100-run win on the Parabola method for Colombo North Zone 1.

In the other matches that were played, Colombo South Zone 1, Matale, and Puttalam came out victorious at Mt. Lavinia, Kurunegala, and Dambulla, respectively.
