Under 23 Invitational Final Kanika steers Kalutara PCC to title victory

A fine knock of 74 in 98 balls inclusive of four boundaries and a six by Kamika Dayaratne paved the way for Kalutara PCC record a thrilling two-wicket win over Kandy CC in the Under 23 Invitational limited over cricket tournament final played at the CCC ground to emerge champions.

Kandy CC invited to take first lease of the wicket helped by a half ton by Kavishka Medagedera made a modest score of 199 for 9 and Kalutara PCC in their run chase were in a bad position of 79 for 4 in the 21st over, before Dayaratne and Thewin Amarasinghe put on a match winning stand of 89 runs for the fifth wicket to help them reached the target with five balls to spare.
