Vihanga steers St. Benedict’s to easy win

An impressive match-figure of five for seven by left-arm spinner Vihanga Ratnayake laid the foundation for St. Benedict’s College to register an easy 10-wicket win over Mahanama College, Colombo in their Under-17 Inter-Schools Limited Over Cricket Tournament match played at Kotahena.
Vihanga’s five-wicket haul helped St. Benedict’s bowl out Mahanama for 84 and St. Benedict’s in their run chase reached the target in the 21st over.
Meanwhile, D. S. Senanayake College along with S. Thomas’ College, Sandalankawa Central, St. Joseph’s College and Sri Sumangala, Panadura came out victorious against Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte, Dharmapala MV, Pannipitiya, St. Xavier’s, Marawila, Sri Jayewardenepura MV, Kotte and St. John’s Panadura respectively.
