Half centuries by Skipper Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Sineth Jayawardena helped Tamil Union record an easy first innings win over Police SC in their SLC Major Club Under-23 Cricket Tournament encounter played at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo. 

Tamil Union taking first lease of the wicket made 264 and Police SC in their turn were able to muster only 155 runs.

Meanwhile, Badureliya SC and Negombo CC also recorded first innings wins against Bloomfield and NCC in two other matches played at Reid Avenue and FTZ Grounds in Katunayake respectively.
