Visakha Vidyalaya clinch U17 and U20 titles

Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo clinched two tennis titles at the recently concluded National Schools Games tennis championships when they succeeded to bag the Girls Under 17 and 20 titles played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.

In the Under 17 age group the Visakhians overcame Bishops College and in the Under 20 category the Visakhians defeated Newstead College Negombo. Museaus College and Methodist College ended up as the third best teams.

Meanwhile the boys categories of the two age groups was abandoned due to the inclement weather and according to sources it will not be played. (M. Shamil Amit)

Newstead College Negombo beat Museaus College 2/1. Visakha Vidyalaya beat Bishops College 2:0.

Under 20 Girls:

Visakha Vidyalaya beat Methodist College 2/0

Ladies College beat Bishops Collective 2/0.

Under 17 Girls:

Visakha Vidyalaya beat Newstead College Negombo 2/1.

Third Place - Museaus College beat Bishops College 2/0.

Under 20 Girls:

Visakha Vidyalaya beat Ladies College 2/1.
