Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 Gampaha Women record third win

Gampaha Women recorded their third win of the Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 cricket tournament with a close five-run win over Colombo South Women in the match played at the Ananda Sastralaya ground in Kotte.  

Gampaha Women taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 130 runs and Colombo South Women despite an unbeaten knock of 66 coming from Shikari de Silva was able to muster a score of 125 runs.  

Gampaha Women 130 for 5 in 20 overs (Nemesha Tharuni 23, Sandali Weerasinghe 22, Nethmi Gunaratne 34 n.o.)  

Colombo South Women 125 for 8 in 20 overs (Harini Perera 20, Shikari de Silva 66 n.o.: Sandali Weerasinghe 2 for 12, Hasini Wijesingha 2 for 16, Nikesha Wijesekera 2 for 29)
