Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 Kurunegala Women record third win

Kurunegala Women recorded their third win of the ongoing Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 cricket tournament with a convincing 57-run win over Puttalam Women in the match played at the Welagedara Stadium in Kurunegala.   
Kurunegala Women taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 130 runs and then bowled their opponents for 73 runs.   

Kalutara Women overcame Colombo North Women by four wickets in another match of the same tournament played at Ananda Sastralaya ground in Kotte.   

The match was reduced to 14 overs with Colombo North Women batting first making 119 for eight wickets and Kalutara Women were on 97 for 6 when play was stopped due to rain.

At Kurunegala – Kurunegala Women won by 57 runs  

Kurunegala Women 130 for 5 in 20 overs (Ashani Kaushalya 41, Chamodi Devindya 33, Nethmi Upeksha 20)   
Puttalam Women 73 in 19.4 overs (Shehara Roshini 27) 

 
At Kotte – Kalutara Women won by four wickets

Colombo North Women 119 for 8 in 20 overs (Manudi Nanayakkara 44: Savindi Cooray 2 for 18)   
Kalutara Women 97 for 4 in 14 overs (Navodya Nethmini 31, Thulakshi Fernando 16 n.o.: Danuji Fernando 2 for 16)
