Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 Second successive win for Anuradhapura Women

 Anuradhapura Women recorded their second successive win of the ongoing Women’s U23 Inter-District T20 cricket tournament with a close eight-run win over Polonnaruwa Women in the match played at Anuradhapura.  

 The match curtailed to 11 overs a side due to the late start saw Anuradhapura Women taking first lease of the wicket making a score of 46 and then succeeded in restricting their opponents to a score of 38 runs.  

 Meanwhile, Trincomalee Women, Jaffna Women and Ratnapura Women came out victorious against Batticaloa Women, Vavuniya Women and Hambantota Women.

At Anuradhapura – Anuradhapura Women won by eight runs

Anuradhapura Women 46 for 5 in 11 overs (Janani Mayurika 3 for 6, Imasha Sandaruwani 2 for 9)  
Polonnaruwa Women 38 for 6 in 11 overs  

At Batticaloa – Trincomalee Women won by eight wickets

Batticaloa Women 87 in 19.2 overs (Mithali Ayodhya 3 for 19, Vimoksha Balasooriya 2 for 13, Lanka Thilini 2 for 21)  
Trincomalee Women 88 for 2 in 12.4 overs (Vimoksha Balasooriya 26 n.o.) 

 
At Vaddukoddai – Jaffna Women won by ten wickets

Vavuniya Women 34 in 16.2 overs (Kaneshapillai Sathursana 4 for 6, Jaganathan Thevahi 3 for 4)
