Yupun handed sponsorship from Sports Ministry

South Asia’s fastest athlete Sri Lanka’s Yupun Abeykoon yesterday received a further boost to enhance his performances when he was presented with a donation of US $1,00,000 courtesy the Ministry of Sports and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

The donation will cover a period of two years while targeting an improvement in his timing and with the goal of winning an Olympic Gold Medal for Sri Lanka.     
Abeykoon, along with the Ministry of Sports and SLC signed an agreement in connection to this sponsorship in the presence of Secretary Sports Ministry, Dr. Amal de Silva, Director General Sports Development Department Amal Edirisuriya and SLC Secretary Mohan de Silva.

Also present at this occasion were Abeykoon’s Manager, Sanjaya Ganlath and his Attorney Ruwini Silva.
