The Colombo Stock Exchange continued to perform weaker today with dips in indices.
 
ASI dipped by 29.92 points (-0.55%) to close at 5,384.10 while sensitive MPI declined by 54.05 points (-1.11%) to settle at 4,821.87. Market turnover was posted at Rs.376.2mn.
 
Lanka Walltiles Plc recorded to be the highest contributor to the daily turnover at Rs.37.6mn. In addition Commercial Bank Plc (Rs.29.4mn) and John Keells Holdings Plc (Rs.21.4mn) contributed significantly to the turnover.
 
Meanwhile retail favorite’s counters such as Environmental Resources Plc, Asia Asset Finance Plc and Free Lanka Capital Holdings Plc traded actively in trading hours.
 
Foreign participation stood at 17.9% of the total market activity and at the end of the day foreign investors were the net sellers with a net foreign outflow of Rs.93.7mn.
