Union Bank Celebrates International Women’s Day with Engaging Customer Events

In honour of International Women's Day, Union Bank organized a series of enriching events tailored to its customers, highlighting themes of business success and wellness. One standout event featured a captivating discussion with Mrs. Sandra Wanduragala, Founder of Seyln Textiles, offering invaluable insights into navigating the journey to business success and empowering women entrepreneurs to soar to new heights. Meanwhile, Union Bank branches in Zone 3 hosted an engaging session in Matara, welcoming women entrepreneurs to gain inspiration from Ms. Deshani Gamage, Founder and Managing Director of Apex Business Academy, as she shared her expertise on women in business.

Further north, the Northern Zonal Office in Jaffna organized empowering sessions for its female customers. Esteemed personalities such as Ms. Vythehi Narendran, representing the UNDP, and Ms. Mithila Thillainadesan, a Lecturer at the Department of Financial Management, University of Jaffna, led discussions aimed at providing guidance and support for women's growth and prosperity. The sessions also featured insights from Ms. Jasmin Jayamalar, Director of Nature Wings (Pvt) Ltd, and Ms. Uthayani Navaratnam, District Women Development Coordinator at the District Secretariat.
