IndiGo appoints Hemas Aviation as General Sales Agent for Sri Lanka

In its endeavour to expand and strengthen its presence in international markets - IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing low-cost carrier has today announced the appointment of Hemas Aviation as their General Sales Agent (GSA) in Sri Lanka. 


With this partnership, IndiGo’s domestic and international network, both present and future, will be easily accessible to Sri Lankan  travellers. Hemas Aviation will provide a wide range of services in the Sri Lankan market, including marketing, reservations, sales and ticketing.


Speaking on GSA appointment, IndiGo Chief Commercial Officer Sanjay Kumar said, “As our distribution network continues to grow both in the domestic and international markets, appointing GSA in Sri Lanka will bring a boost to the 6E network. Being strategically based in Sri Lanka, Hemas Aviation will enable IndiGo to widen its distribution network and make 6E products and services more accessible to passengers based in Sri-Lankan region. We are confident of Hemas Aviation’s deep understanding of the Sri Lanka market, and are absolutely delighted to enter into this new partnership.” 


Sharing her views, Hemas Aviation Director Dushy Jayaweera said, “Hemas is delighted to partner with IndiGo. Our team will expand the airline’s visibility in the Sri Lankan market, which will enable more Sri Lankans to use IndiGo’s ever expanding network, both domestic and international.”
