Oman Air to train South Asian sales teams in Colombo

Oman Air has selected Colombo as the hub for training its sales teams from the Indian subcontinent. Spread over four days, the training session will witness country managers and sales teams from the subcontinent nations converging on Colombo. The training session, which will be focused on driving revenues, will include Revenue Re-alignment Meetings as well. 


Commenting on Colombo being selected for the session, Regional Vice President Indian Subcontinent V.A. Sunil stated, “Sri Lanka is a key destination in Oman Air’s route network in the region which is evidenced by having Colombo host yet another important event in Oman Air’s calendar. The island has a diverse tourism offering and our regional team is only delighted to revisit the sights and sounds of the island.  Oman Air’s sales teams have been driving growth for the airline and this training session will underscore our growth priorities and sales strategies in the coming months.”


Oman Air has achieved significant growth in the Sri Lankan market and now operates two flights daily between Colombo and Muscat. The airline currently offers flights from Colombo to a variety of destinations including from Muscat to Europe, Gulf, Middle East and Africa. The airline has built a strong customer base and brand presence in the local market, successfully fulfilling the evolving travel needs of business and leisure travellers as well as Sri Lankan expatriate workers based in Oman and overseas.
