The royal salute goes to The Kingsbury

The Kingsbury, Colombo’s grandest city hotel, has been highly honoured by the prestigious International Hotel Awards 2016/2017 being awarded the Best City Hotel Sri Lanka, Best Large Hotel Sri Lanka, Best City Hotel Asia Pacific and Highly Commended Classic/Heritage Hotel Sri Lanka. 
The International Hotel Awards are the only international five-star standard of hotel ratings and determines the finest hotels and hospitality establishments in the world.  The awards were held in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at a gala event in London’s Park Lane Hilton.


Scott Mawhinney, General Manager of The Kingsbury stated, “This is just the beginning as our plans focus on achieving greater regional and international leadership. We have with us some of the best people in the industry and two Chairmen whom are not just business tycoons but they are admirable visionaries in this century; Dhammika Perera and 
Mohan Pandithage.”
 Proudly representing Sri Lankan hospitality and accepting the awards on behalf of The Kingsbury were Lalin Samarawickrema, The Kingsbury Managing Director, and Denesh Silva, Director/Head of Sales and Marketing.

These awards make The Kingsbury Hotel the most awarded property in Sri Lanka giving them the right to take a royal salute for 
their success.
