Heralding in the New Year is something that everyone looks forward to and 31st night is a much awaited date on everyone’s social calendar. This year too as the season sets in most people are looking for a different experience to celebrate the dawn of 2016. This is where Waters Edge specializes.

Creating a brand new culture of a “Restaurant with a Dance Floor”, Waters Edge last year welcomed 2015 in a truly different style. The much-talked about event returns this year from 8pm onwards at the Grand Ballroom. Featuring the sounds of Manilal and Upekkha, revelers will have a 50 foot dance floor to dance the night away. To tempt your taste buds the culinary team at Waters Edge will also put together an extensive multi-cuisine buffet. The hotel will also allow party-goers to bring their own spirits with no corkage being charged. As an added bonus and reason for celebration, return air tickets to exotic locations will also be up for grabs. Ticket will be priced at 8,000 rupees per head.

Commenting on the unique NYE concept at the hotel General Manager of Waters Edge Rohan Fernandopulle notes, “The Restaurant with a Dance-Floor idea was such a hit last year, as families were able to come in to Waters Edge and celebrate the dawning of the New Year in a very different way. Our concept offers the best of both worlds, and something for every member of the family. This year we’ve enhanced on it and look forward to bringing the best in food, entertainment and great atmosphere to our guests”.

The party at Waters Edge will also continue outdoors as internationally renowned DJs Paul Thomas and Guy Mantzur together with local favourites Jayy Vibes, Rachith, Ultra, Dilee D, Nishan Lee and Dimuth K promise to bring an intergalactic celebration of the dawning of the New Year. Put together by Fantasy Events, tickets will be priced at 6,000 rupees per person.
