Dr. Natakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Central Pattana PLC, divulged that, “The signature and most fun event by CentralWorld that everyone is eagerly waiting for is the countdown; it is even named one of the top 10 countdown events of the world.

This year CPN is organizing THAILAND COUNTDOWN under the theme Monkey in Electric Jungle, which is the core event out of all activities being held at eight CPN venues across the nation, led by AIS Bangkok Countdown 2016 at CentralWorld. We would like to invite everyone to join us; there will be marvelous special effects and fantastic music that will get you jumping up and down to the beat, ushering in 2016.”

“In addition, we bring the first-time-ever Thai Fight Countdown right in the heart of Rachaprasong intersection to promote Thailand’s Culture and Sport through the tourists’eyes and we have invested in turning the façade of CentralWorld into a large state-of-the-art LED screen; it is 1,400 square meters in size, which is an equivalent of eight volleyball courts. On top of showing advanced motion graphics from celebrated artists, the screen can also be programmed to show texts of beautiful wishes, like a giant greeting card for passers by to see. Furthermore, CentralWorld is prepared to ramp up its security during the event and has prepped its parking services, restrooms, elevators for guests. We encourage our guests to come via the SkyTrain or other mass transit means as they would be more convenient.”

Pornrat Janejarassakul, Vice President of Marketing Communications at Advanced Info Service PLC or AIS, the main sponsor of this event, stated that “AIS, a provider of high-quality cellular service, has always aimed to deliver the best to our customers. In partnership with many of our allies, we are organizing AIS Bangkok Countdown 2016 at CentralWorld, as a gift to our customers and fellow Thai citizens, to say goodbye to 2015 and receive the coming of 2016.

We’ve been the main sponsor of the countdown for the past three years, and this time the event will be held from December 25 to 31 in front of CentralWorld.

This year’s theme is Electric Jungle, where guests will get a kick out of the number of digital games available for their entertainment. We also have many prizes to give away to AIS customers on the night where enthusiastic audience will count down together to 2016. On top of the concert, in which many famed artists will keep you company, throughout the event AIS will continue to deliver the best of everything to our customers and fellow Thai citizens, keeping them merry in celebration of the new year. We’d like to invite you to come and count down to the first day of 2016 with us.”
