EAP Leisure’s Sapphire, Concord Grand hotels win 19 medals at Culinary Art Competition 2015

EAP Leisure’s Sapphire and Concord Grand hotels recently won 19 medals at the prestigious Culinary Art Competition 2015.
EAP Leisure strives to be a pioneer in the hospitality industry and is part of the EAP group. The company secured a total of two Gold awards, six Silvers and 11 Bronze awards at the event, which was conducted by the Chefs’ Guild of Sri Lanka.
Nuwan Priya from EAP Leisure won Gold awards in the ‘Carving – Fruit & Vegetable’ and ‘Artistic Pastry Showpiece’ categories. Janaka Bandara secured a Silver medal in the ‘Artistic Pastry Showpiece’ category, whilst Victor Frank and Mahesh Somapala won Silver medals in the ‘Beverage – Arrack Cocktail’ and ‘Artistic Pastry Showpiece’ categories, respectively.
Sarath Dissanayake received a Silver medal in the ‘Individual Ice Carving’ category, whilst P.A. Paplie won Silver in the ‘Hot Cooking – Meat, Seafood & Poultry’ category. Nuwan Priya, Saman Rajapakse, Mahesh Somapala, T.H. Chaminda, M.C.M. Abeyratne, W.D. Wasantha, Kasun Gunarathne and N.T. Rathnayake also won Bronze medals across a variety of categories. A further 10 employees from the companies also participated in the various competitions held at the event.
