The 40 member MICE buyers and six travel writers were received with traditional warmth of Sri Lankans at the welcome dinner by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) with the participation of SriLankan Airlines.
The SLCB, with the approval of Tourism Minister Navin Dissanayake, proceeded with the project where the MICE buyers were hosted for a round trip, workshop and a meeting with the industry members after the round tour. The tour was handled by the Professional Association of Conferences and Exhibitions.
In his speech, SLCB CEO Vipula Wanigasekera said, “’Seeing is believing’ is the theme of this programme where the buyers can have a first-hand experience about the facilities, location and expertise of the MICE industry. The group is accompanied by SLCB Assistant Manager Peumi Peiris and SLAPCEO President Ziyan Ameen.
