Two men who arrived on a motorcycle to rob a supermarket at Bandaragama had fled the scene after a female employee had assaulted them with a chair.

It was reported that the woman had assaulted them with the chair when they attempted to snatch her necklace.

However, the men had robbed about Rs. 27,000, the Police said.
