RIYADH, Jan 4 (Daily Mirror World) -- Cristiano Ronaldo, who was unveiled by his new club Al Nassr on Tuesday, said that he was not concerned about the criticism over his decision to join the team in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo said that he was a “unique player” and that his work in Europe was done.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, with five Champions League titles to his name had recently split from his team Manchester United and signed for an estimated 200 million euros with Al Nassr until June 2025.

The Portuguese superstar received a rousing welcome as he visited Al Nassr’s Mrsool Park stadium in the capital Riyadh for Ronaldo’s formal unveiling as Al Nassr’s player.

Ronaldo was joined by his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, who was seen wearing the traditional black abaya, and his children.

Speaking to reporters before heading out to the pitch, Ronaldo said that he was happy with his decision to join Al Nassr.

He said the local club was very competitive and he is ready to play for his new team.

“I really don’t worry about what the people say,” he said in response to a question over the criticism surrounding his decision to join the Saudi Arabian club.

Ronaldo also revealed that he has received offers from clubs in Europe, Brazil, Australia, the US, and his home country Portugal.

“I’m a unique player… I want to beat a few records here,” he added.

Ronaldo received a thunderous welcome as he walked onto the pitch after the media briefing and greeted the over 25,000 fans and the local team supporters.
