Ahan Wickramasinghe and Avishka Fernando slammed tons for Kandy and Colombo against Jaffna and Galle on day one of the four day National Super League cricket encounter played at the SSC and ground and Sooriyawewa Stadium.

Ahan hit 101 in 108 balls inclusive of 13 boundaries and two sixes which was his second of the tournament having made 107 against Colombo in the first match to help Kandy taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 265.

Ahan was involved in two partnerships of 50 runs for the third wicket with Oshada Fernando and 58 runs for the sixth wicket with Wanuja Sahan.

Jaffna in their turn ended the day making 93 for 3.

Avishka made 150 in 205 balls with 13 boundaries and a six for Colombo taking first lease of the wicket to end day one on 287 for 6 against Galle in the match played at the Sooriyawewa Stadium.
