Speaking further Danushan said. “I had to demonstrate a high level of dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for the sport. I spent significant amounts of time practicing, honing the skills, and studying the game, typically have a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the sport, such as swing mechanics, course management, and mental strategies. I got the opportunity to practice in an indoor golf stadium.

That was the foundation for my golf career. The indoor stadium gave me the opportunity to practice day and night to improve my golf game. I gained experience by playing world class golf tournaments in Malaysia and India was a luxury for me.”

“I’m now here because of my dad who took countless hours of coaching, correcting my golf swing and helping me to go to the next step in golf. In my golf journey the Sri Lanka Golf Union and the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) has been a pillar of strength to me.”

“SLGU has given me the allowance to practice on the golf range and on the course.

Their helped to create opportunities for me in all levels to participate, compete, and improve my skills. They provided me a platform to showcase my talents and achieve my goals, whether it is at a local,
national, or international level.”

“RCGC too has played a major role in my golfing career, attributing a significant part of my success to the outstanding facilities and services provided by the RCGC.” Danushan ended as saying, “I want to be a pro one day and represent my country and that is my ultimate goal.”
