Kandy SC extend winning streak

Kandy Sports Club, after their thumping wins in their opening two games, continued their winning form when they outplayed the CH & FC outfit by 39 points (6 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty) to 28 points (4 tries, 4 conversions) at the Race Course ground last evening.

At the short breather, the lads from the Central Hills led 24-7.

Kandy played well in the initial half, but CH stormed back in the later half to score three converted tries, adding 21 points while Kandy could reply with only 15 points but still continued with their third bonus point in their third outing.

Kandy scored their tries through Dinal Ekanayake (2), Nigel Ratwatte, Srinarth Sooriyabandara, Wajid Fawmy, and Kavindu Perera. Tarinda Ratwatte converted 3 tries and put over a penalty as well. Meanwhile, for CH, their tries were scored by Pulasthi Dasanayake, Nirosh Perera, Janith Chandimal, and Janidu Dilshan. Chandimal converted all four tries.
