Lankan CC and Galle CC maintained their unbeaten record in the SLC Major Club Tier ‘B’ Limited Over Cricket Tournament by recording wins against Air Force SC and Moratuwa SC in at the FTZ Grounds in Katunayake and De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.

An impressive seven-wicket haul by right-arm spinner Iwanka Sanjula paved the way for Lankan CC’s win enabling them to bundle out Air Force SC - in pursuit of 151 runs for victory - for 76 runs.

Meanwhile, Galle CC secured a 13-run win on the D/L method against Moratuwa SC. Galle CC taking first lease of the wicket were bowled out for 120 and had Moratuwa SC struggling on 99 for nine in 29.4 overs when rain stopped play.

Kandy CC overcame Leo CC by eight runs on the D/L method in their match played at the Air Force Grounds in Katunayake and to record their first win of the tournament.

At FTZ Grounds, Katunayake – Lankan CC won by 74 runs.

Lankan CC: 150 in 44.1 overs (Amila Sandaruwan 44, Malith de Silva 42, Dulara Madusanka 21, Madusanka Premaratne 5/26, Induwara Udana 3/25)

Air Force SC: 76 in 27.3 overs (Chamara Fernando 50, Iwanka Sanjula 7/23)

At Moratuwa – Galle CC won by 13 runs on D/L method.

Galle CC: 120 in 30.3 overs (Amith Eranda 52, Nimantha Gunasiri 27, Malinda Perera 4/30, Anuk de Alwis 3/23, Gayan Sirisoma 2/20)

Moratuwa SC: 99/9 in 29/4 overs (Vimath Dinsara 25, Anuk de Alwis 23 n.o, Chanaka Devinda 4/20, Amitha Kaushalya 2/41).

At Air Force Grounds, Katunayake – Kandy CC won by eight runs on D/L method. 

Kandy CC: 282/7 in 50 overs (Lakwin Abeysinghe 65, Kashyapa Dissanayake 49, Chathuranga Dikkumbura 39, Navod Samarakoon 29, Kanishka Maduwantha 24, Rusira Weerasinghe 20, Prashan Wickramasinghe 35 n.o, Shehan Fernando 2/42, Harshika Fernando 2/56)

Leo CC: 186/6 in 32 overs (Romesh Suranga 67, Steven Fernando 35, Samitha Dilshan 34, Kanishka Maduwantha 3/20, Dhamshitha Manukalpa 2/51).
