OLAAAA Cricket Carnival organised by Old Lumbinians has been scheduled to be held at BRC Grounds in Havelock Town on January 21.

The tournament will be consisted of three categories including school league, competitive league and social league while each side required to have one female in the team.

The past students of Lumbini College alongside the teachers, administrators and current students have collaborated in organising this grand event which will go on from 7 a.m. in the morning.

Lumbini has a very proud cricketing culture having produced top class cricketers such as Prabath Jayasuriya, Malinda Pushpakumara and Vikum Sanjaya. Thanuka Dabare, who has been knocking on the door of the national team, is also an old boy of Lumbini.

The organising committee revealed that the main purpose of this event is to gather all the former cricketers of the College as well as past students and teachers while raising funds for the development of sports in school.
