By Lakshman Ranasinghe

Pakistan Women scored a comfortable six-wicket win with 1.4 overs to spare over Sri Lanka Women in their first T20I played at the Southend Club Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday.

Winning the toss Sri Lankan Women failed to find touch with the bat as they made 106 for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

With wickets falling at regular intervals after a 38-run third-wicket partnership between Harshitha Madavi (25) and Anushka Sanjeewani (16) the batters who followed failed to cope with the on the spot bowling attack of the Pakistan Women spearheaded by slow left arm orthodox spinner Anam Amin who made the initial break through along with left arm leg spinner Tuba Hassan and right arm fast medium bowler Aiman Anwer.

Pakistan Women reached the target with ease with a combined batting effort with Muneeba Ali, Iram Javed, skipper Bismah Maroof and top scorer Nida Dar making the main contributions.
