Defenders FC of Sri Lanka held Paro FC of Bhutan to a thrilling 3-3 draw in their AFC Cup Continental Club Football Tournament preliminary round first-leg encounter worked off at the Racecourse Grounds in Reid Avenue today (22).

The visitors took a 3-2 lead at half time.

Chamara Sajith struck two goals for Defenders FC while overseas recruit Evans Asantl scored the third goal.

Dieudonne Fabassou scored two goals for Paro FC while Chencho Gyeltshen netted the third goal.

Meanwhile, the second-leg encounter will be played in Bhutan on January 29. (SP)
