Police Sports Club who pulled off an unlikely win last week over Havelock Sports Club has been dealt a major blow with their influential number eight Udaya Sanjula looks set to miss the action for at least a couple of weeks ahead of Inter-Club League Rugby clash against Navy Sports Club at Welisara tomorrow (13).
The former Prince of Wales third rower was taken off during their stunning 36-24 victory over Havies last week with a hamstring injury and he will be replaced by ex Zahira College captain Mummar Deen in the starting line-up.
Wing three quarter Janith Chanaka who was one of their heroes from last week has also been ruled out with an injury and his place will be taken up by a very capable replacement in Sujan Kodithuwakku.
Fijian centre Emosi Vunivosa has certainly given Police a new dimension as he had a phenomenal game against Havies though he appeared to have some issues with both his knees. Police management; however, confirm that the former Fiji Under-20 star is indeed available for the game.
Navy Sports Club has handed Madawa Amaratunga a rare start at scrum-half with their captain Richie Dharmapala expected to come off the bench in the second half.
Fijian star Seru Cavuilati will be the key for them at fly half while Chathura Senevirathne will move to centre position to form a mid-field partnership with Mushin Faleel.
