Sri Lanka finished as the runner-up in the 2024 Asian Netball Championship, narrowly losing to Singapore in the final, which ended 67-64. Sri Lanka's strong performance throughout the tournament highlighted their competitive prowess, adding to their history of success with six previous championship titles.

Everyone of the Netball team will now only know the value of Tharjini Sivalingam who retired from netball who during her period was the backbone of the netball team. Whilst the present players were excellent sometimes a small mistake could result in disaster. Nevertheless, the team should in future not rest on their laurels of glory of the past but strive harder to be on the top second to none!!!!!!!
