Former India cricketer Suresh Raina is a hotelier now. The 36-year-old World Cup winner and a former player of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL team has opened a restaurant (name : Raina) in Amsterdam, Holland.
'Drumroll, please! Get ready for a culinary explosion like never before! I am absolutely ecstatic to introduce Raina Indian Restaurant in Amsterdam, where my passion for food and cooking takes center stage", Raina has posted a message on his social media page.
Suresh Raina's elder brother Dinesh, speaking exclusively, says, "it is a family venture. My brother is the only cricketer from India to have a restaurant in another country".
"My brother and bhabhi Priyanka are already there for the set up. They have no plan to reside there permanently and settle".
"The idea to have this restaurant in Holland is to serve Indian food to the Indians living there".
'Over the years, you've seen my love for food and witnessed my culinary adventures, and now, I am on a mission to bring the most authentic and genuine flavors from different parts of India straight to Europe's heart", Suresh Raina has tweeted.

Priyanka Chaudhary, Mrs.Raina - could not resist the temptation of expressing her joy, also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post. Sharing a snap of the pair in front of the new venture, Priyanka wrote, 'Introducing the extraordinary chef @sureshraina3, who has embarked on a remarkable journey by launching Raina Indian Restaurant in Amsterdam!
There have been a few Indian cricketers, who own or owned restaurants in India. Not all of them have done well and a few had to eventually shut down. Here's a list of the top cricketers who ventured into the hospitality business.

Kapil Dev: The pride of the nation opened his restaurant called Elevens in 2008 in Patna, Bihar. A cricket-themed restaurant
Zaheer Khan: Zaheer Khan made his foray into hospitality in 2005 with the hotel ZK's Dine Fine in Pune.
Sachin Tendulkar: Tendulkar Restaurant, Mumbai.
