Sharujan Shanmuganathan of St. Benedict’s receiving the award for the Best Batsman

S. Thomas’ College and St. Benedict’s College shared the inaugural Kumar Boralessa-Ranjit Fernando Trophy when their annual inter-school cricket encounter ended in a thrilling draw at Mount Lavinia yesterday.

The Benedictines following on were bowled out for 118 in their second innings with Skipper Sharujan Shanmuganathan stroking a fighting 92 to deny their opponents.
