Fast bowler Nuwan Thushara was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for 1.6 Crore Indian rupees, on the second day of the Indian Premier League Player Auction for 2025 yesterday. 

Thushara debuted in the IPL last season representing the Mumbai Indians, and taking eight wickets in seven matches. 

The RCB bid was less than the 4.8 Crore the Indians splurged on the sling-armed bowler in 2024. 
Meanwhile, uncapped fast bowler Eshan Malinga was snapped up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for 1.2 Crore.
