Colombo, Dec. 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Tug-of-War Federation (SLTWF) will conduct the 19th National Tug-of-War Championship 2023 on December 16 at the Galle Football Grounds.

This year the tournament will be held in four categories - Senior Men and Women, Under-23 Men and Women, Schools (Age 15-19) and Catch Weight Men and Women.

More than 50 major sports clubs including Army SC, Air Force SC, Navy SC and Police SC will participate in the tug-of-war nationals.

The SLTWF have also planned to form a senior Men's and Women's Squads to form a national pool for 2024.

Sri Lanka, which has a short history of tug-of-war, won several international tournaments in 2018 and 2019.
