Two former Pakistan captains among tv commentators for Sri Lanka Tests

By Bipin Dani

Two former Pakistani captains, Ramiz Raja and Aamer Sohail, will be in the television commentary box for the upcoming two-Test bilateral series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

According to well-placed sources, their services have been hired by the broadcasters in consultation with the SLC.

The other commentators are Roshan Abeysinghe, Russell Arnold (both Sri Lankans), and Zimbabwe's Tino Mawoyo for the first Test match commencing in Galle on Sunday.

However, South Africa's HD Ackerman, who now lives in Australia will replace Mawoyo in the second Test in Colombo (July 24-28).

These commentators are regular voices in the international matches and the Lanka Premier League (LPL) in Sri Lanka.

Ramiz Raja, the former CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has resumed his commentary assignment.

Australia's David Boon will be the ICC match-referee and had a meeting with the team management of both teams on the eve of the first Test.
