Two quarter-finals of the Under-17 Division One Limited Over Cricket Tournament will be played today.

S. Thomas’ College will face St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota at the Maris Stella College Grounds in Thimbirigaskstuwa while St. Peter’s College will meet Trinity College at the Dharmapala MV Grounds in Pannipitiya. 

St. Anthony’s led by Okitha Fernando booked their berth to the quarter-finals by ending as the top team in their group at the completion of the first round matches and then overcame Mahanama College, Colombo in the second round encounter before getting the better of Nalanda.

S. Thomas’ led by Abheeth Paranawidana ended as the third best team in their group in the first round and defeated Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya in the second round and followed by overcoming Taxila Central, Horana in the pre-quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Trinity led by Chamiru Senaratne advanced to the quarter-finals having ended as the top team in their group after the completion of the first round matches and defeated Lyceum, Wattala in the second round before overcoming Richmond in the pre-quarter-finals.

St. Peter’s led by Joshua Sebastians also ended the first round assignments as the best team in their group and defeated Wesley College and St. Servatius’ College, Matara in the second round and pre-quarter-final encounters respectively.
