The ATF U14 Tennis Week 2 tournament concluded at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo proved to be successful for two Sri Lankan’s Yuhansa Peiris and Ajhesh Kajan as ended the campaign by winning two titles by coming out victorious in the singles and doubles events of the girls’ and boys’ categories.

Oeiris who earlier bagged the singles title by defeating Eliza Kahagalla paired by Leyala Knesse of Germany went on to clinch the doubles title too by recording a comfortable two sets to nil over the Indian pair of Sanmita Harini and Prula Rao.

Ajhesh Kajan who won the boys’ singles title over compatriot Mayonan Kubehrra partnered by Nevan Kannangara though undergoing some anxious moments against David Ava of Canada and Andre Hamadi of Singapore prevailed to clinch the title with a hard fought two sets to one victory. (Shamil Amit)
