The IMRA Awards aim to challenge the perception that Muslim women in Sri Lanka take a back seat in society. Instead, they celebrate the determination, courage, and success of women who have pursued their dreams despite challenges. Last year’s winners have joined forces with the IMRA Foundation’s Directors to ensure that the 2025 awards are even more memorable than the inaugural event.
The IMRA Foundation takes immense pride in spotlighting these talented women who serve as role models, inspiring future generations. Many of the women recognized last year have gone on to become ambassadors for their fields, proving that Muslim women can excel in every sector of society.
KPMG, one of the leading global advisory firms, returns as the official Knowledge Partner for the second consecutive year. Their involvement ensures transparency and professionalism throughout the judging process. KPMG will manage the technical aspects, while a distinguished panel of judges from the community will select the finalists in each category.
The IMRA Awards 2025 will be held on Saturday, 5th April 2025, at the Balmoral Ballroom at The Kingsbury, Colombo. This event is set to be a milestone celebration of Muslim women in Sri Lanka, and support from generous donors is crucial to its success.
By recognizing these extraordinary women, the IMRA Awards shine a light on their achievements, inspiring not only the Muslim community but the entire nation.
