The George Keyt Foundation, renowned for its dedication to nurturing Sri Lanka’s vibrant artistic heritage, has unveiled a stellar line-up of artists for an unprecedented event: Sotheby’s first-ever auction celebrating contemporary and modern Sri Lankan art. This landmark charity auction promises to bring global recognition to the nation’s creative legacy, showcasing works by 35 renowned local artists.
Set to take place on December 9, 2024, at The Forum, Cinnamon Life, the auction represents a collaboration between the George Keyt Foundation and Sotheby’s, a global leader in the fine art auction world. With 46 carefully curated lots on offer, this event brings together an extraordinary assembly of artists, showcasing the depth and diversity of Sri Lankan contemporary and modern art.
Before the auction, enthusiasts can view the artworks at Cinnamon Life on December 8 and 9, with viewing times scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the first day and until 5:00 p.m. on the second day.
