Indian national arrested for alleged match-fixing in Lanka T10 league


Kandy, Dec 13 (Daily Mirror) - An Indian national, the owner of the 'Galle Marvels' team in the Lanka T10 Super League, has been arrested by the Special Police Unit for the Prevention of Misconduct Related to Sports on charges of alleged match-fixing.

It was reported that the suspect offered money to a West Indian player participating in the Lanka T10 League in exchange for fixing a match.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) lodged a formal complaint with the Special Police Unit, prompting an investigation.

A team from the unit travelled to Pallekele and arrested the Indian national in connection with the incident. -
