A robotic machine to treat the coronavirus infected patients was donated to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital. The invention and research unit of MAS Intimate Pvt Ltd handed over this amidst hospital Director Specialist Dr. Sampath Indika Kumara and Dr. Duminda Indrakantha.

The Colombo Electrical Traders Association (CETA) donated a set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to Colombo Divisional Secretary Kanchana Gunawardena, to be handed over to the Grama Niladharis on duty. All the Buddhist temples across the country were seen deserted on Bak Full Moon Poya Day today due to the curfew imposed islandwide and the social distancing policy in force due to coronavirus pandemic.
