Four candidates submit deposits for Presidential Election today

Colombo, July 26 (Daily Mirror) - Four candidates have officially submitted their cash deposits for the 2024 Presidential Election today (26).

The Election Commission confirmed this in a statement.

The candidates who placed their deposits are:

- Ranil Wickremesinghe - Independent
- Sarath Keerthirathne - Independent
- Oshala Herath - 'Abhinawa Niwahal Peramuna'
- ASP Liyanage - Sri Lanka Workers Party

Except for Ranil, the rest are just donating their money , but their intentions are to confuse the voters when they cast the ballot. Another person with the first name Anura will be a problem for original Anura. Making the depost Rs 50 million is the way out.

RANIL lost presidential elections on 1999 and 2005 contesting under UNP with elephant symbol. Thereafter he never contested in 2010, 2015 and 2019. However, This time he's abandoning his party UNP and the elephant symbol. And RANIL contesting as an independent under New symbol. Now who knew it will come to this!??? This will speak volumes about a Bankrupt politician who absolutely have no legacy!!

Fooling the public should stop and paying the initial deposit by independents who have leanings towards political parties whose politicians have robbed the public purse and brought this country to bankruptcy are now in some cunning way trying to gain power by hook or by crook. So this is a clear reminder to the public that these parasites are not genuine even at the start but greedy for power who will act to the detriment of the public once they win the Presidential election. So public be careful not to be misled like in the past 6.9mn were taken for a ride!!!!!!!

All the candidates, political parties and the public MUST also support him. There is no need to worry about 'Raahu Kalaya' and Auspicious Times'.
