The monumental rise in the price of fuel (thereby the affordability)over the past year, has become the clear determinant of the demand. Removing the QR code is another eyewash to hoodwink the fast declining gullible sector of the society.

Who has done a forensic audit of procurement of fuel at all petrol sheds with the QR code records indicating that actual fuel was sold on QR and whether it tallies. As an observer I have seen fuel of many vehicles (trucks lorries and motor cycles etc) not been issued on the QR code but funds exchanged with the attendants underhand. To some extent the QR stystem only applied to those who did not want underhand dealings. Wait and see if there is a fuel shortage the country will go to the original days where fuel was sold at black market rates.

Still we have to have some control on expenditure
on fuel imports . Much of our USD earnings are spend on this . If fuel is not used for development related work at this stage it’s a waste .
We should have short

I hope the people will continue to use fuel like the QR times. It was a good lesson and should not be forgotten. Travel only if it is absolutely necessary. You can extend the life of your vehicle and tyre, both are extremely expensive. You will also do good to the environment.
