The infected policemen are being treated in respective centres.the islandwide vaccination programme is ongoing in full swing with over 5 million people above the age of 30 years being inoculated with the first doses.
Health officials have said that vaccinations were a necessity in order to prevent havoc caused by the rapidly spreading Delta variant.
Health experts have said that while the vaccinations will not prevent one from being infected with the COVID-19 virus it will however prevent the fully vaccinated patient from developing a severe form of the virus as well as dying from the virus.
