bbb - It is your distorted view that you project. There is no harm in celebrating the birth of Christ in any manner, its left to the individual to celebrate this event as he or she pleases.

None of the religious ceremonies or functions are required to be done in the holy books of such religions. But people are happy doing it. Why don't you look at the brighter side of it. Xmas celbrations make people to share and be happy. If you beleive in Holy Bible then you believe in Jesus. So what is wrong in celebrating the Birth of Jesus. If you do not like it don't celebrate it and mind your own business.

I agreed with you bbb. But the whole world is forgetting the true meaning of the Christmas. We can't change it. just ignore the others things and celebrate the Christmas with Jesus love and glory by your own heart. Merry Christmas! :)

It is so lovely and as readers, we too wish the Daily Mirror Staff, their family members and all the DM readers a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. I appeal to the Minister of Trade, who is a Catholic, to be the Santa Claus by providing the basic foodstuffs of the ordinary Sri Lankans like ONIONS, DHAL, COCONUTS, SUGAR, etc. at the lowest possible prices not only to Catholics but to all. What they have amassed fraudulently is more than enough to feed all the ordinary Sri Lankans during Christmas Festive Season FREE OF CHARGE!
